Núria Andorrà will work with Secondary School Puigvert of Sant Andreu’s students of music and dance optional subject for four months -two groups of 13 students between 13 and 14 years old- with the aim of encourage their interest in art, creativity and contemporary language from individual and group practice and experience.

Andorrà will focus in developing tools to strengthen the self-confidence, emotional work, creativity, the exploration of their own resources, the seek of skills to develop, active listening, presence, self-knowledge and group dynamics. Throughout a weekly session, students will improve their knowledge of contemporary language and the creation of sound and movement from their own experience, creating new elements from the group practice.

During this period, in which the most important will be the creative process, students will create a site-specific work wrote by the group, using real-time composition techniques and promoting listening as a creative element. Students will explore their individual capabilities to achieve an efficient group, to step outside the comfort zone and expand the individual and collective abilities. The creative process will use sound movement as the unifying element and gesture as a generator of sound, sentences and form.


Núria Andorrà has a degree in percussion from Esmuc, and later studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany), where she obtained the DKA diploma and the Master in Contemporary Music. She collaborates with contemporary music groups Icarus Ensemble, Abstrai Ensemble, Barcelona 216, Kammart, Patschwork Ensemble. She work with Carles Santos, Hèctor Parra, Matmos and other interdisciplinary projects. She Improvised with Agustí Fernández, Le Quan Nihn, Ingar Zahr, Mats Gustafsson, Pablo Ledesma, Nate Wooley, Frances-Marie Uitti, Joe Morris, Ramon Prat, Tom Chant, Johannes Nästesjö, Nenad Markovic, Ivi Rausi. Joachim Badenhorst, Yasmine Azaiez, Anne-liis Poll, Nuno Revelo, Irene Aranda, Marc Vilanova, Alessandra Rombolà. And with the dancers Manel Salas, Constanza Brncic, Iris Heitzinger, Julyen Hamilton i Paolo Cingolani. She has given improvisation classes at the Esmuc and percussion classes at the Lyceum Conservatory and at the Reus Conservatory. She has programmed at the Ateneu Barcelones, Antic Teatre and at Ex-designer.
